ABOUT MINDSTAR HYPNOTHERAPY

about me

I'm Tom Price. I spent over 20 years in high-pressure corporate IT. Senior Network Engineer. Network Architect. Big projects, tight deadlines, seven days a week. On paper, everything looked fine.

But I couldn't switch off. I'd sit with my family at the weekend and still be mentally in a Monday morning meeting. Lying awake at 2am replaying conversations. Dreading the week ahead. I lost passion for everything outside work and eventually for work itself. I burnt out. Completely.

What I didn't understand then was that it wasn't a willpower problem. It wasn't weakness or a character flaw. It was my brain doing exactly what years of sustained pressure had trained it to do. Once I understood that, everything changed.

That's what pulled me toward the mind. I'd always been fascinated by how much our thoughts shape everything... performance, confidence, health, relationships. Watching how top leaders and athletes used mindset to stay sharp under pressure made me want to understand it properly. So in 2025, I trained in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy with CPHT Birmingham, one of the UK's leading schools.

I'll be honest, I was sceptical. Until I started working with clients and saw the results happening right in front of me. That removed any doubt.

I realised that what I'd been through wasn't just my story. It was the story of almost every driven professional I spoke to. And I realised I could actually help. So I left IT behind.

Now I work with career-driven professionals who are exhausted, unable to switch off, and running on empty and I help them get their calm, clarity, and control back. For good.
